Pinguino Food Forest Project

We have planted over 800 trees in the last 4 years to the benefit of birds, bees, animals and humans alike. This is only the beginning of our reforestation project.

Manabi has been suffering from deforestation since the last 30 years. In the last few years, it has been intensifying rapidly due to political and economical reasons.

Today, trees are being cut down mainly for exportation and pasture land.

Rivers are running dry, native fauna and flora is disappearing.

We have a small land of 11 hectares (27 acres) and we barely touched the surface of it but the long term project, with your help, is to buy more land nearby, put it in the name of the Pinguino Tree Foundation (not registered yet) and plant on a great surface.

For now, we are just happy with the small scale of reforesting our land and buying ancient trees from neighbors so that they cannot be cut.
